A Vibrant Prelude
The Collective is anchored by an open green lawn and a shaded gravel courtyard, carefully composed with informal lounge seating, native plantings, and a small performance stage. This layout encourages a wide range of uses...from casual picnics and quiet reading to live music, pop-up markets, outdoor yoga, and cultural celebrations. Its adjacency to The Filling Station further amplifies its role, creating a seamless extension of the café’s social energy and turning the corner into a vibrant, day-to-night gathering zone.

Though designed as a temporary installation ahead of the full build-out of the Indigo Commons retail district, The Collective plays an outsized role in shaping the community’s early identity. It demonstrates Indigo’s commitment to public life, walkability, and meaningful placemaking from the very beginning. More than just a placeholder, The Collective is a living, breathing preview of the community’s values, a space where neighbors become friends, ideas take root, and a shared sense of belonging begins to flourish.
